When I first got my TrailManor the first thing I wanted was a tongue jack. I mean I was huffing and puffing cranking that thing round and around until I was ready to pass out!

So I shopped around and here again being Mr. Overkill, I got the baddest boy I could find which was the Bulldog 500185 rated at a 4000lb. lift capacity! (the white one of course to match the TrailManor) My reasoning is this… if it’s made to lift 4000 lbs. tongue weight then my TrailManor at less than 500 lbs will be a walk in the park… which translates to lasting way way way longer than one that’s just able to do the job.

OK, let me clear the air about a thought I had... the TrailManor at first seemed to me to be a “camper” trailer more than a “travel” trailer. I mean usually when you have a trailer for just camping, you’re planning on going somewhere and hanging out for an extended amount of time, and when you’re traveling, you’re trying to get from point A to point B with the least amount of hassle and time spent day in day out. Now, I get this… and have decided to take this on as a quest… to make a camper into a traveler, or should I say, to spend as little time setting up and tearing down my TrailManor as possible. With that in mind I started shaving the duties that require mean ole Mr. Time, just so one might be relaxing or back out on the road ASAP.

THIS IS THE CRUX OF ALL MY IMPROVEMENTS!

Like the tongue jack saves you time as well as much-o energy, then going along with that, is the Fastway flip automatic jack foot which will save you time and energy as well.

Most of the time I see people putting blocks of wood (4x4’s) under their jack to either raise it up or so they don’t have to crank it down as much or for just a bigger footing on the ground. So that means you have to go and fish these out of your car/truck/trailer, get them placed just right, before cranking down your jack. Then when you’re ready to leave you’ll have to put them back. I my case I was changing the foot itself or taking it off so it would not scrape itself on the ground and ruin itself (already done that!). But the flip solves all that by folding itself up and away when you raise your jack and dropping itself down when lowered (see Youtube / Fastway flip… God bless Youtube!). No more blocks… no more changing foots or wheels or pads… all done for you automatically. One more little step eliminated for man… and more time saved for mankind! Another axiom I live by is “easy”… that’s what I strive for!
